How I Can Help
Neurodivergent learners are unique, and so is my approach
A Neurodivergence Focused Practice
Neurodivergent learners require different support than most students, because they're not like most students. Things that seem intuitive to normal learners feel impossible to learn any way but "the hard way," leading to conflict, frustration, confusion, and poor grades.
NeuroAdvantage's approach focuses on providing 3 pillars of support designed to address the areas most commonly and most severely impacted by neurodivergence-related challenges - Academic Knowledge, Cognitive Skills, and Homework Routines.
Academic Knowledge
Stuck on word problems, or math with letters? We'll help you crack the code
Neurodivergent learners learn differently and at different speeds than other students, in classrooms stuck on one mode and one speed, leaving your child falling further and further behind each week.
We break each concept down step by step until we find the missing conceptual link in your child's knowledge, and build up their skills and knowledge until they get "light bulb" moment that makes learning fun!
Cognitive Skills
Test anxiety or mental blockers stopping your progress? We'll help you rise above
Staying focused, fighting distractions, and managing mental pressure are extra challenging for neurodivergent learners. Concepts like "time," "planning," and "deadlines" can seem not to exist or matter to them.
We guide each learner to build a personalized toolkit of plans, routines, and skills to use when planning, fighting distractions, and managing short & long-term deadlines.
Homework Routines
Not sure what works and what doesn't? We'll build a results driven routine together
Understanding the unique structure, support and accountability your neurodivergent student needs for homework success can be a mystery to even the best parents; providing it can feel impossible and lead to homework time turning into a frustrating battle of wills.
We assess each student's needs and current study habits to develop a productive, consistent homework routine based on the latest research in neurodivergent education that reflects each students strengths, goals, and preferred learning style.
